A Coffee House Series event
Come listen to local talent, Alex Creamer, while enjoying coffee, tea, and baked goods on September 9th from 8 to 10pm! This talented singer-songwriter will be performing in the cozy, intimate Vestal Museum for friends and fans alike. Don’t miss out!
Alex Creamer is a local singer-songwriter who has been performing in Binghamton and northeast PA for the past three years. As well as pursuing her solo career she performs covers and original material in her band Seven Miles and is a vocalist and rhythm guitar player in the Hats Off Band. Alex has performed in various Binghamton area venues, including the Ransom Steele Tavern, Cyber Cafe West, and Old Union Hotel. She enjoys performing a whimsically varied set list, containing everything from jazz and blues to classic rock and pop, and of course her original tunes, exploring social issues as well as her personal observations on relationships and life in general.
Founded in 1823, Vestal had its humble beginnings as a lumbering and farming community. Come learn the history of farming in Vestal from the large farm on Hiawatha Island to the John S. LaGrange Farm to Drovers Inn to Cold Spring Farm to Brookdale Stock farm. The Vestal Historical Society’s extensive farming collection will be on display as well as photographs of the farms that made up the town.
Come see the art of Clayton Ave Elementary School students in grades K through 5 from February 9th through March 16th. The opening reception is on February 9th from 12 to 3pm. The Vestal Museum is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10am to 2pm, on Saturdays from 10am to 3pm, and on Sundays from 1pm to 3pm.
